Music can improve mood, decrease pain and anxiety, and facilitate opportunities for emotional expression. Research suggests that music can benefit our physical and mental health in numerous ways. Music therapy is used by hospice and palliative care therapists to enhance conventional treatments for a variety of illnesses and diseases. Music is associated with decreasing anxiety, depression and stress. It even has evidence of helping managing pain and enhancing motor functions after degenerative neurologic disorders.
Music is heart healthy. It elevates mood, reduces stress, relieves symptoms of depression, stimulates memories (remember that old song from Trisha Yearwood… “The song remembers when,” Google it…great song BTW), it manages and eases pain, and increases physical performance (why do you think athletes always have those BEATS on during pre-game?). Man, with all these benefits… too bad we can’t just bottle music like medication, or can we? Hi-Tune says, “YES WE CAN!”
